I’ve always been fascinated with love stories- how a couple meets, the challenges they encounter and overcome together, and finally, the commitment that seals the relationship. One symbol of love, faithfulness and promise is the wedding jewellery like engagement rings and weddings bands.

Thus I was excited to get an invite to an intimate tea party with young Filipina designer Germee Ronirose Abesamis of luxury bridal jewellery DEAREST held at Green Pigs Kitchen in Quezon City.

Germee’s own story begins in Pangasinan where she was born to a family engaged in the jewellery business. Hailing from a family of artists, with ancestors who painted parts of Manaoag Church, Germee’s creativity is intrinsic- including her love for jewellery.

It was inevitable for her to go this route as well. In 2013, she collaborated with a Paris-based fashion designer and showcased her designs in Europe. Soon, she started her own jewellery business, with her creations finding its way to French and Londoner clients.

She’s back in Manila for a short while to share her latest collection for DEAREST.
